USA, 1891/2: NYC Catalogue Prices (Reference)

This 1892 receipt  illustrates the 'retail cost' for a number of the same items in this catalogue, illustrating (Midwestern?) merchants' mark-up.

Retail was 33% higher than the NY importer's wholesale/retail for semi-manufactured Platinum, which in this case came from France (Desmoutis, Lemaire & Co.)

1892: 1 Troy Ounce Platinum (scrap, whols.) = USD$ 12.44
1892: 1 Troy Oz. Platinum (semi-mfg, foil, whols.) = USD$ 14.
1892: 1 Troy Oz. Platinum (mfg, whols.) = USD$ 14. - 20.22
