After a tremendous decline, Paris catalogue prices for Palladium indicate a 14-year stable low, from about 1846 to 1860.
1846: 1 Troy Ounce Palladium (refined) = Fr 139.95 (USD$ 26.69)
1859/60: 1 Troy Oz. Palladium (refined,unmfg) = Fr 139.95 (USD$ 27.28)
Just 5 years later, the US cost for pure Palladium wire was 5x higher.
1864: 1 Troy Ounce Palladium (imported, semi-manufactured, pure) ~ USD$ 125.
Adjusting for Real Inflation since 1860 (10,490%), the 1860 French price for unmanufactured Palladium would be $ 2,889. (in 2009 USD$.)
