1853: 1 Troy Oz. Platinum (mfg, retail)  = Fr 46.65 (USD $ 9.14)

Citation: Catalogue et prix des instruments de physique, de chimie, d'optique, de ... Breton Freres, 1852?, p 24

1859: 1 Troy Oz. Platinum (mfg, whols.)  = Fr  31.10 - 38.88 (USD$ 5.98 - 7.47)

Very dubious generic price reference. It's entirely unclear when Russia was producing 122 pouds (2,000 kg?!) per year, after 1825.

This type of reference (widely republished, for the masses) is unreliable.
