Not factoring purity, the Paris Platinum Price was double that of platina (presumably, impure ingot.)

"As formerly, the very best worked platinum is still in Paris, where the factories of Bréant and Collardeau are best known. The price of many of their products is from 26 to 30 francs (7 to 8 Thaler) per Unze/Once? (or 2 Loth.)"

In the early 1840s, where the standard Gold was Fr 131. and Silver Fr 5.28 per English Troy Ounce; the larger Gold Fr 224.50 and a smaller Silver Fr 4.50, the standard French Platinum medal was Fr 49.64; the larger Platinum medal(s?) Fr 117.25.
It's unclear if these French medals are the same weight & size.
