Colombia, 1854

According to an American visitor, by 1854 the Gold Yield had collapsed -75% from years prior to 1852.

Citation: New Granada: Twenty Months in the Andes: With Maps and Illustrations;  Isaac F. Holton (1856) p.260

The issue of contraband export dogged estimates well in the 1850s.  Assuming the Franc/Piastre exchange at 5:1 and the Colombian Fine-Gold Price at S$ 17.61 per English Ounce Troy, a rather unlikely massive export of 7,949 kg of Gold occurred circa 1854.

Likewise, the amount of Colombian platina exported (S$ 30,000 or 188.71 kgs) was barely 2.35% the Gold total but probably much closer to the true export amount.

Citation: Dictionnaire universel théorique et practique du commerce et de la navigation ;  Gilbert-Urbain Guillaumin (1859) p. 546

As reported in 1857 (somewhat dated?) Colombia was annually exporting 600 kilograms or ~ 19,290 ozt platina.

Using Tillet, by the Gold/Silver Prag Mark (Old Weight), 1 Prag-Loth Ag/Au = 332.6875 Holland Aas (= 15.98474, 15.98955 Gr) ; 1 Wien-Loth Ag/Au = 364.8219 Holland Aas (= 17.5287 Gr)

Where 10,000 Holland Aas = 7,416.967773 English Troy Grains (~7,416.97)

Berlin: 1 Mark Cöllnische = 8 Unzen = 16 Loth, ∴
1 Unze = 0.9395 Ozt.; 29.2212 g.
1 Loth = 0.4697 Ozt.; 14.6106 g.
(Heavier) 1 Mark Cöllnische = 8 Unzen = 16 Loth, ∴ 1 Unze = 0.94 Ozt.; 1 Loth = 0.47 Ozt.;

1 Apotheker Unze = 1.12554726 Ozt.; 35.0084326 Grammes

1 English Troy Ounce = 0.888456699 Apotheker Unze

Commerce-Weight. The Wiener Zentner contains 5 Stein to 20 Pfunde, or 100 Pfunde. The {Wiener} Pfund, which is divided in half and quarter-Pfunde, contains 32 Lothe, each about 4 Quentchen or Quinteln. The Bohemian Zentner contains 120 Pfunde, which likewise each has 32 Lothe, the Loth is divided to 4 Quentchen; 100 Wiener Pfunde are equal to 108.875 Bohemian Pfunde. The {Commercial} Wiener Pfund contains 11,655 Holland Assen, the Bohemian 10,697.

The Apothecary Pfund has 12 Unzen at 8 Drachme each; the Drachme 3 Skrupeln, the Skrupel about 20 Gran. 12 Unzen contains 8,741 Holland Assen. Thus the Apothecary Pfund is exactly 75% the Commercial-Weight Wiener Pfund, an Unze likewise 2 Lothe and the Drachma 1 Quentchen.

The Viennese Gold- and Silverweight is the Mark to 16 Lothe, each 4 Quentchen.

The Mark contains 80.4 imperial ducats and weighs 5,341 Holland Assen; 5 Wiener Mark equal 6 Kölnischen Marks.
