19th Century: Platina Yield and Largest Nuggets


The 1814 Hurtado Nugget was taken by General Morillo in 1816 conveyed to Spain in 1817, reported in 1818 and bequeathed to the National museum in 1822 (The "Condoto" pepita is reported at 24.25 English Troy Oz.)

Platina nuggets:
1801: Humboldt's Berlin pepita, 2.267 English Troy Ounces




1814: Hurtado/Condoto pepita, 23.23 English Troy Oz.


June, 1827: Demidoff nugget, 138.9 English Troy Oz.




1833: incorrect kilo-weight, but dated finds.
