Presumably, by mid-April 1899 the Wholesale Ask in Russia had advanced £ 1.25 (USD$ ) over the January 1899 Price in St. Petersburg.  The Johnson-Matthey London Spot did not change so, in the same period.

Where an Evaporating Basin weighing 32 g. contained 90 cc, a Pt Basin 1 Ozt = 87.48 cc. An Evaporating Basin containing 1 Fl.Oz. (28.4131 cc.) ought to weigh 11.36 g (0.3654 Ozt.) or ~175 grains troy.
